my first week in recap!

it was a normal first week. felt like a normal day with lots of readings, homeworks and stuff to do.
however what made it more fun was that it was my birthweek, we transferred to the Rizal Mini Theater and we rehearsed everyday for two productions, XPRES and UNANG BABOY SA LANGIT. :)

Monday - November 10
















I turned 19! I wore a simple dress to school, went to all my classes from 930 a.m. till 7:30 in the evening, but good thing the teachers didn't really end their classes on time, since it was the first day. :) I met my history, philo, psych testing and io teacher that day... the only teacher i haven't met was my social psych teacher. :) (her classes being a TTH class only.:) I prepared a basket of candies for ENTA and left it in the Enta room. When i went back after my lab class, what was left was a handful. WOOH. haha. After my io class, i went straight to the Unang Baboy rehearsals. :)
When i went home, i celebrated with my roommies and called up Yellow Cab for pizza. :) see, nothing really special about my day. :)

Tuesday - November 11
Lei and i met up at Xavier to pay for our tuition... After that i waited for Gar till 10:30 because we were going to gateway to have our 1x1 id picture taken. :) and then we went to our psych testing lecture class, and then to our social psych class. our socpsy prof, Dr. Miren Intal was nice. She reminded me of Dr. Ramos during our perso class, soft-spoken, kind, and quizzes every start of the chapter (which is probably every meeting). :)

AFter classes, i went straight to the RMT to prepare for rehearsals. and look who i saw.

we rehearsed on stage for St. Anthony, and then i rushed to the Unang Baboy rehearsals. :)

Wednesday - November 12
Argh. History. i cannot believe that he's asking us to pass an outline of our research paper on Monday. THAT EARLY? but. but. but. okay. after, we went to our philo and our prof was still talking about first sem and second sem topics. haha. because i'm a natural stalker (meaning, i don't intentionally stalk, the stalking just comes naturally. hAHA) i now know the names of my lover seatmates, Ralph and Galvin. HAHA will take a snapshot for you when i get the chance. HAHA

you see, Galvin and Ralph seem smart and kwatro kids and all that. But i don't see them taking notes, or even listening to our philo prof during class. hahaha. what do they do in class? well, it's either they're playing tictactoe, or studying their matrices for their math class. math majors i guess. they're so close (literally) they look like an item. :) aww. but ever since the start of the sem, i haven't seen Ralph, the one beside me. Gar was telling me to ask Galvin (wait, if you think i know them personally or acquainted with them, no. i just saw their names on the seat plan. HAHA) where Ralph was. for the first few minutes i didn't want to because Galvin might think i like Ralph. HAHAHAHAHAHA. and was looking for him because i missed him. HAHA I'M TORPE LIKE THAT. hahaha. but no. i'm not torpe. i asked Galvin just before the class ended. HAHAHAHA Ralph was still in class but sat somewhere else... oooohhh. LQ? hahahaha

After our Philo class, me, lei, gar, deni, oli and keshia went to Trinoma and had lunch at CPK! had pizza and pasta and stuff.
AND THEN. AND THEN. HUHUHUHU THEY SURPRISED ME WITH THIS!!!!!! HUUHUH.
THANK YOU FRIENDS. you don't know how much i loved it. WOOH!!

we went around trinoma, found these cute toys that moved and danced around. lei and deni went crazy over them. HAHA. we went back to ateneo around 4:30, i was running late for rehearsals. Ricky Abad was watching the runs. huhuhu. pressure. after, i went to the Unang Baboy rehearsals. :)

Thursday - November 13

It was a Riz, Timee, Portia, David, Omar, Mitzi DAY! We ordered Pizza for everyone. HAHA. And then a cake arrived at the RMT addressed to Riz, Portia, Timee, David and Omar! love SECRET ADMIRER. whoever you are, thank you. :) ang sarap ng chocolate caaake! :)

nothing really special that day, i was just wearing my carebear shirt. that's all. :)

Friday - November 14
NO CLASSES FOR ATENEO YO!!! WOOOH!!! It was Faculty Day!! But i attended the RE-KAP of Enta SocPol... left after lunch to interview winnie for our psych testing psychological report... and then went to rehearsals.



Now here's the funny thing. Because the other day at rehearsals, our director SIR kalil almonte shot us with a watergun everytime we made a mistake. But today, for every mistake we made, he would mark our faces with lipstick. HAHA.

i went to the unang baboy rehearsals, but realized that i didn't have a part in the scenes, so i waited for jose and the other people to finish, had dinner at KENNY ROGERS with pao s., kalil, nicole, jose, kate, cam, omar and karl louie. hahaha. don't even ask what happened over dinner. HAHA it's OVER. haha


that's it. nothing special. just went to rehearsals and stuff. :)

oh dear, it's true. "getting younger" is not possible. my ym stat the other night said "who's turning a year younger tomorrow?!!?" booo. then i remember this riddle in gradeschool, in Filipino class "ano ang laging nadadagdagan pero hindi nababawasan." or something. HAHA. I FORGOT. okay. (gahd, i'm growing old. haha) and of course, the answer is banana.

is it even possible to celebrate your debut this year and turn 17 next year? haha. maybe in other galaxies, but not in this one. hahaha.


and so today, i woke up at 730 to prepare for my 930 class. my monday schedule is very hectic.

1230-0430 PsychTesting LAB
0430-0730 Industrial Psychology...

and starting now till the end of january, i will be having rehearsals everyday. This November, i will be having two rehearsals. so everyday, XPRES (ENTA's newbie prod) rehearsals are from 430-730, followed by Unang Baboy Sa LAngit rehearsals at 730 till God knows when.

History was good. Sir Gealogo. We didn't know his class was in Filipino. His is the only history165 class in FILIPINO. and while struggling with Philosophy in FILIPINO, i have to struggle with this too. not that i suck at Filipino, (in fact i get better grades in Filipino than in English). it's just that. i UNDERSTAND better when in English. oh well. i can deal with it. :)

Philosophy was okay. as usual, we didn't discuss anything. he just went on and on about what happened last semester and what's going to happen this semester. :)

oh, and gar surprised me with my favorite Iced White Chocolate Mocha and Strawberry Belgian Waffle both from starbucks. THANK YOU GAR! :) and i saw cutie again. good thing he didn't get transfered to another philo class, and that he's still in the same philo class. :) weewoo!

Psychological Testing LAB was good. i can't believe she used up all the 3 hours for the first class. oh well. we were productive anyway. she started discussing the class syllabus of both lecture and lab... we picked our groupmates for the group projects and then picked a partner for the psychological report... deni&oli forever, gar&lei. and so i quickly asked winnie if she had a partner already. HAHAHAHAHA. well well well. zoology all over again. But having winnie as my partner doesn't mean i'm gonna freeload everything. HAHA. if she wants, i can do most of the work. HAHAHAHA. after, our teacher handed out this booklet... it was a personality test of some sort, and we all took it for about half an hour. And then we exchanged answer sheets with our partners for her to check it... out of 46, i scored 38 on extraversion. which was shocking actually because i'm a shy person. :) (OKAY DON'T PROTEST. shyataaap!) we spent the rest of the period interpreting our partner's answers, AND WE DIDN'T GET TO FINISH PA HA. hhahahaha.

Industrial Psychology... teacher was nice. HAHA. oh oh, and. we had to pick our groupmates too. HAHAHA. no comment. hahahaha. one of our groupmates was TOO EXCITED on our topic: occupational health. HAHAHA.

(now that i've blogged about it, i feel like a real junior already. terms are too technical. too psych haha)

After my class, i went straight to the Unang Baboy rehearsals... it was expected of us that we have already memorized our lines over the break. BOO. i didn't. was too preoccupied with XPRES. sigh. i don't even know if i'm gonna survive rehearsing one play after the other. haha. BUT I CAN DO THIS.

i'm gonna use my planner, for the remaining two months of it.
mingkay asked me awhile ago how my birthday was, and i just answered "stressful".
because after this day, i had to think about everything i was doing during the semester and to condition myself that i HAVE TO ACCOMPLISH EVERYTHING without sabotaging my academics.

Here's a list of what i have to. do well? accomplish? survive?
- HISTORY. read read read read read. just friggin read. that's all i hafta do to survive.
- PHILO. read. just friggin read the handouts. or LISTEN INTENTLY. please.
- PSYCH TESTING. overwhelming workload i tell you. super overwhelming. it's like experimental psychology times 3. so. i have to be OC and keep things in order. and not freeload.
- INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION. many groupworks. must keep myself involved. participative. reciting in class. (reciting isn't really my thing. but will try to)
- haven't met my social psych teacher yet, but i bet socpsy will be fun.
- XPRES at the end of november. no actually it's next week already. so. this is it. i just have to convince my stagefright to GO AWAY.
- Unang Baboy sa Langit rehearsals. schedule is very tight. we have over a month to complete everything. all the acts, all the scenes, all the songs, all the dance numbers. so. *jumps off a building*
- NO SPEED LIMIT preparation. oh dear. i just have to keep myself together and remind myself that i still have this project. everything will go according to plan. go timee!
- NSTP. i can do it.

oh oh, and this semester, i'm not gonna text in class. for 2 years now, it's been a habit. and now i'm breaking it. FOR MY OWN GOOD. kamon i can do it. haha


i went home after our rehearsals, bought pizza for my roommates and then went straight to blogging. tita cynch was asking how my birthday went, and i just replied "it's a normal special day" whatever it meant. haha

but no really. i think.

pinky asked me the same thing too, and i guess i gave her a more elaborative explanation. you know the feeling that this day is supposed to be a special day, that you know this is different from the rest of the days of the year... your heart beats differently (it did today), you look at things differently (more perky, cheerful, sunshiny, happy)... you feel like you're flashing a different kind of smile today (it felt that way), you feel like floating (i felt like that today)...


but more of the feeling that it's just a normal day? because i felt like that today. i knew it was a special day for me. but i felt normal. if not for the greetings and me feeling more sunshinier... it would've been just a normal day. :) (except for one thing. someone said something today. HIHI.) and i don't have a problem with that, it's just that. because i feel that way today, i feel that this day, november 10, 2008 has been the most unusual birthday i've ever had. :)

maybe because. ugh i don't wanna say this.

maybe because. as pinky put it, my "party" phase is over.
at one point in everyone's life, you get to say "i'm too old for birthday parties". (well, parties in the sense that you have to invite EVERYONE you know, that you have to make it a BIG celebration, that you have to plan it months before.)
you might say that i'm too young to be feeling that way. yes, because i know i'm not too old for birthday parties. but.

A debut is probably the last BIG and EXPECTED and CELEBRATED birthday party a girl can have. well. she can opt to have a grand celebration of her birthday every year. but. if you think about it, typically, what's special about turning 19? or 23? or 42? or 61? it doesn't generally mark anything. (well, maybe there are exceptions. i don't mean ALL BIRTHDAYS. haha.) it just says you're a year older.

and now, a year after my debut, i'm thinking. this is it. my party phase is over. i'm done demanding for a huge celebration from my parents. i'm gonna celebrate soon using the money i will be getting from hard work. I'M NOT A KID ANYMORE!!!! :( HUHUHUHUH.

that's just the point of how i'm feeling. i'm just not a kid anymore.
it doesn't really make me sad or anything, it's just. sinking in.
and the more it sinks in, the more i realize that i have to think about things in the future.
that there are other things to think of than rehearsals... than blogging... than deciding whether i should get a haircut or not... than planning my outfit for the day...
there's just more to life.

and i guess turning 19 introduces me to this "moreness"
nevertheless, i'm ready. :) BRING IT ON. :)

but one thing i know for sure. :)

would you believe that this is my 51st blog?! i've written THAT many blogs?! whew! let's celebrate! pancit canton party for everyone! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

before you go warla with the title of my blog, i'd like to say that my sembreak so far has been spent on rehearsals, eating, bumming around, sleeping, tv and internet. and i found that my routines are becoming a bore (not that rehearsals are a bore, i'm actually having fun at reh. promise) i'm now seeking for something new in my life. like planning to go home to iloilo just for 3 days and come back here again. i just need something new. and it's not funny when people around me are partying, trick or treating, going on out of towns, going to the beach, climbing mountains, surfing, partying some more, and going to EK while i'm here in my dorm doing nothing. *frustrated* (... and beginning to think if it's really worth it. again.) i'm just really frustrated.

if i cannot stand this anymore, i'm going to stay at my tita's house. you want me to explain how that's my option? ask me.

but as of now, i cannot stress enough how excited i am for second semester. it's so cool to be college coz you get two first days of school in a year. maybe three. (but the 3rd is not exciting)

you know how back in gradeschool (or maybe highschool) you get so excited upon approaching the first day of school.. excited to know who your teachers are, who your classmates are gonna be, new food in the cafeteria, new stuff (admit it!!!!! we buy new stuff every start of the year!!). it's just a brand new start. WOOH.


and i'm so thrilled for the second sem because:

- it's PAYBACK TIME. haha. and i don't mean that in a negative way. i'm gonna make up for all the low grades i got last semester, and i'm going to push it to the limits. (familiar song. haHA) WWWOOOOHHHH. study hard now, party harder later. :)

- new subjects, new teachers. don't you just love a fresh new start? i mean, you get to adjust again and when you succeed with the adjusting, hooray, you're on your way to a good grade? hahahaahaha. well i'm gonna make sure that i adjust well. I SHOULD. please. timee i beg you. hahaha

- because. aside from acads, i have so much with me: XPRES, UNANG BABOY SA LANGIT and NO SPEED LIMIT. :) i'm excited because these are the things that i love doing. :) and i hope it all goes well. :D

- because. hihi (if you can guess this. i'm giving you a candaaay! hooray!)

- because i'm a semester closer to becoming a SENIOR! YAHHOOOOO! HAHAHA IT'S NOW OR NEVER!!!! THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE TO MAKE IT RIGHT!! (hsm3 fever haha)

- because it's my birthday, we're gonna party like it's mah birthday on NOVEMBER 10!!

- because it's christmas, it's new year, it's summer!! hahahhaha all the lovely breaks i love. :D

- and just because the second semester is a shorter semester. HAHAHAHA

- a Starbucks Teddy Bear. i've been wanting one for the longest time. but then i realized just now that i have too many stuffed toys on my bed, it's hard for me to sleep. - TWILIGHT by Stephenie Meyer. okay. joining the bandwagon. because i just found out that CEDRIC DIGGORY, THE Cedric Diggory, the dude i cried for when he died in HP and the Goblet of Fire, (yes, i cried noisily in the theater) IS PLAYING THE ROLE OF MR. TWILIGHT. whatever his name is. Edward? Cullen? Am i right? WOOH. AND HE. IS. HOT. WOOH. I LOVE IT. So, i'm gonna try to start reading just for Cedric Diggory. <<<-- THANK YOU EBOOK!

- a MAGIC 8 BALL. i've been wanting one for so long but everytime i go to a toy store and see one, i always think that it's not worth it. but whatever, i think it's useful especially to an indecisive person like moi. :)

- i found this suuuper cute BARBIE bag for folders, papers and stuff... and i'm planning to buy it for my laptop. no cushion or whatsoever, but. the bad i'm using for my laptop doesn't have cushion too, so. i'm getting myself the barbie when the semester starts. as of now, i don't need it yet. haha

- if ABS-CBN releases a DVD version of IISA PA LAMANG, i'm so getting one. wooh.

- an Ateneo Jacket. Before i graduate (if i really do graduate. HAHA) i'm getting myself an Ateneo Jacket. WOOH.

- Diaper Bags. you should see SM Dept Store's Baby Diaper Bags. they're soooo cute. wooh. i want one. as an ordinary bag lang. HAHAHA

- a DQ cake. :) because DQ makes me happy. hahaha i'm getting one for myself when i'm depressed. hahaha

- a Lomo camera. i saw these cute lomo cameras in fully booked the other day. weeehh. but. before the lomo, i should get a real camera first. HAHA

- HEROES Season 2 DVD. haha. i miss watching heroes! wooh.

- World Peace. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. but really, yes, i do want world peace more than ever. :D and i believe that i can be the change i want to see in the world. So i'll start with myself. :) i don't get the point of wars and stuff, is it because of Greed? well that's just really stupid. that's just so childish.

BUTCH. huhu. my piggy's new name. (i realized, i couldn't call her "bebi". i'm not used to the cheesy pet name) IS BLEMISHED. :(( :(( she's growing up so fast.

you see the red marks on butch's face?!? HUHUHUHU. i must have left some red marker open, lying around in my bed. :( finals week. booo.

the bulk of my final examinations are over, theology last monday, and experimental psych and cognitive psych last tuesday. what i have left for my finals are Physiological Psychology (on saturday) and Philosophy(on Tuesday). i'm not planning to study physio until i know my pre-final grade. (tomorrow). as for Philo, my oral examination is on Tuesday so i have lotsa time. and i know how frustrated i can get whenever i say "i should've used my free time to study", so i think i'm going to start on Philo in a while. :)

i'm looking forward to:
- the end of everything. of physio and philo.
- EK. Baguio. Tagaytay. Banaue Rice Terraces with friends! (not serious with the last, it was just a suggestion by our theo teacher sir Rochester. hehe)
- Pinky's comin' to town! WOOH. DairyQueen date! wooh.
- ENTA plevsem! :) yehey!
- KWIK-E rehearsals. actually the thought of doing 4 shows scares me.
- MY BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP YO! hahaha. although i'm not really planning on doing anything, i'm just excited to be 19. :) NOVEMBER 10 is the date. don't forget.
